Who are the care givers??

The care givers are employees of Delta Center, Inc.  Criminal background checks, including a drug screening, are completed on all of the care givers prior to their providing services.

Specialized training in Respite Care Services is also a part of the employee requirement.

Individuals who become Respite care givers must show a genuine concern for persons with disabilities. 

Why are Respite care services important?

Stress is a factor in everyone’s life; however, when you are responsible for the daily care of a loved one who has special needs, the stress seems to be all the more consuming.  Also receiving Respite care services may allow you to spend some “quality” time with other family members.

Through our Respite Program, qualified staff will come into your home and provide the necessary care that is often needed.  This allows the primary care giver time away from the day to day care giving.

What do we provide??

Delta Center, Inc. offers Respite care services for any person of any age that was diagnosed before the age of eighteen with any disability such as the following:

**  Mental Retardation
**  Cerebral Palsy
**  Epilepsy
**  Autism

With no cost to the family.
