Substance Abuse
Delta Center, Inc. is
licensed through the Division of Alcohol and Substance
Abuse to provide substance abuse treatment and
intervention services to the youth and adult populations
of Alexander and Pulaski Counties in Illinois. Delta’s
substance abuse program currently employs outpatient
substance abuse counselors, one part-time case manager,
and program coordinator. We offer three levels of
outpatient substance abuse services to best fit the needs
of our clients.
Level .5, Early
Intervention provides pre-treatment services to
individuals whom present problems associated with or risk
factors related to substance abuse. Individuals receiving
these services could be youth experiencing behavioral
problems at home or school, parents or significant others
to substance abusers, individuals living in high drug use
communities, etc. Education and support is offered to
clients receiving early intervention services.
Level I, Outpatient
provides assessment, treatment, and recovery services to
client living in the community. These services are
generally provided through regularly scheduled treatment
session either individually and/or group settings weekly.
Level II, Intensive
outpatient provides assessment, treatment, and recovery
services to client living in the community. Clients attend
an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) group a minimum of
nine hours a week.
Delta Center’s
substance abuse program has developed several specialized
groups to assist our client’s with reaching their maximum
potential throughout their recovery process. MISA groups
are offered for those clients with a substance abuse
diagnosis, as well as a mental health diagnosis. This
specialized group offers these clients an integrated
approach to treating their mental health and substance
abuse issues. Recovery groups offer clients that have
maintained their recovery and at the end of treatment to
participate once weekly in a group arranged to offer
support in their continued recovery process. Delta also
offers a youth substance abuse groups targeted
specifically to the youth population to work on issues
related to this age group (e.g., peer pressure,
experimentation, etc.).
As well as the above
programs, Delta Center also offers substance abuse
treatment to targeted populations within our communities.
Delta has been licensed to provide substance abuse
treatment to the DCFS population, where families involved
with DCFS whom have substance related problems can
participate in a specialized program. This program offers
more outreach services such as, transportation to and from
treatment, parenting groups, intensive case management
services, etc. Delta Center also provides intake and
assessments through both Pulaski and Alexander County
Department of Human Services offices for those clients
receiving or eligible to receive TANF benefits.
